Genaro Barba (1993) is a Mexican Visual Artist focused primarily on abstract tattoos and asemic writing. His asemic work is a means of creating intimacy with himself and the landscape using non-verbal tools. The result is a vibrant and lively scripture. Anima, meaning Soul or Breath, is his first self-published work of asemic writing; it was written during the spring of the present year (2021) and is an expression of that particular time and place experienced through his body. It is his hope that such a work may help restore a sense of kinship with the land and that which is considered nonsensical.
