I am Protibha, a nature photographer based in Kolkata, India. These photographs follow the meeting of water, light and small forms: a boat against reflected sunlight, a bird on dark rocks, and an island beneath an evening sky. I am interested in how much a small subject changes our sense of scale. Some frames are almost still; in others, breaking water fills the space. The selection brings together observations of coast and inland water rather than documenting one continuous journey.
