autocollage series

In this series, Rodrigues explores the position of his own body in relation to the architecture, usually portraying himself in movement within previously planned compositions. The artist captures the climax of his maneuvers with a remote control, which can usually be spotted in the images.
The work also marks a new direction for the artist's self portrait research, starting the AUTOCOLLAGE series. Recognizable spaces (Brazilian architectural landmarks, as Lina Bo Bardi's house, FAU USP), impossible perspectives, decapitated "business men", disorientation. The images appear to be collages, but, impressively, they are photographs without photoshop manipulation.
