Gabriela Basyuk is photographer and writer, based in Philadelphia. Originally from New York, her work showcases a range of identities and experiences: visualizing the impact of gender and intimacy in relation to urban, public space. Gabriela uses her lens to transcribe intimate aspects of daily life, uncovering raw, private moments in the people and things around her. For the past seven years, Gabriela has produced a series of artist books and zines, aimed at creating a space to examine the relationship between gender, sexuality and power.
