Katherine's work is interdisciplinary, focusing primarily on the natural world and the human condition. Her process is rooted in the interpretation of these themes through her own experience of living, working, and travelling across the world, in a journey that has seen her become increasingly interested and in tune with our interconnectedness and our delicate relationship with the natural environment. In her photographic work she developed an interest in working with themes related to heroism and the sea. Katherine is primarily focused on exploring the Portuguese coastline, due to its rich ocean culture and diverse maritime heritage.
