Between Line and Colour: The Quiet Language of Form

What can a single line hold? In my work, it becomes a face, a gesture, a meeting — sometimes even a moment of stillness. I am Hildegarde Handsaeme, a Belgian artist working in acrylic and permanent ink. Through stylised female figures, flowing contours and geometric fields of colour, I explore balance, intimacy and the quiet connections between people. Each work leaves space for the viewer to pause, look again and discover a meaning of their own.
