Between the Tides
When I draw a fish, I am not drawing a contemporary animal. I am drawing an archive: a form carrying evolutionary time, cultural memory, and personal history at once.
Each work begins in observation. As it develops, something less predictable emerges, an interior logic I do not fully control. The titles arrive in the same way, during the act of drawing rather than after.
Each work is resolved in form but remains open in meaning. Please look again. You will see more.
Graphite, ink, and acrylic on paper; bronze.
