These six paintings continue my exploration of combining screenprinting with abstract painting. My fascination with the wonders and perils of space exploration, and what these endeavors say about us, were on my mind when I started these works. Materials include heavy acrylic mediums, screen printing tools, transparent gels, liquid inks, and watered down paints applied with a spray gun. Manipulating these pigments with their varying physical qualities led to some unanticipated results, which felt appropriate to my initial inspiration.
