'Body Over' is the lead single from Rowan Buratti's debut album. It's a song about cycles, and the dizzy rush of something new, when desire runs ahead and you're already picturing a whole life with someone you barely know. I wanted the video to live in that space of what could be. It opens the morning after, as Rowan quietly tidies up from the night before. Then the chore tiptoes into a fever dream, a world of her own making. Shooting on 16mm kept everything tactile, and let Rowan, a lifelong dancer, perform at the centre of her own imagination. Playful and sensual, the video moves like a wash cycle. And like any cycle, it comes back around.
