Buddy System is a study of togetherness before it notices the camera. Shot on 35mm in Paris with my lover’s Olympus.

The project emerged as a personal challenge disguised as documentation. The challenge: to train my eye as an extension of the camera, to quiet the lag of doubt before the click. These photos were taken at chest or hip, in motion, led by instinct. For every photograph captured, there were 10 more intimacies witnessed and left untouched.

What remains are fleeting pairings, shared pauses, chance proximities, synchronized strides - a choreography of people moving through a city together.
