Music is the most impressive art form. It is the most universal and it’s practically magic. The aspect of music that fascinates me most is when a musician picks up their instrument and starts improvising. What could easily be a cacophony becomes a melody, a rhythm – that anyone can connect with. The creation and discovery of self that comes with improvisation is what I am always chasing in my work. With each piece, I aim to discover something new about myself as an artist while sharing my creation with the viewer in the hopes that they, too, discover something about themselves.
