My name is Richard Marcus Taylor. I am a classically trained color field painter originally from New York City. I studied fine arts at SUNY Purchase and The School Of Visual Arts in New York City.
My work is influenced by the works of Mark Rothko. I have dedicated myself to this painting style since 2012 and continue to find inspiration painting this way today.
Through my large colorful oil paintings, I seek to create intimate experiences between the viewer and the canvas, using form and color to provoke an emotional response.
