the eyes are windows to the soul, come and see through mine.
The eldest child of a Latina family of 3, I was born and raised in Canada. A place where my physical features were ridiculed, my culture's people were considered dangerous and their women sexualized. All my childhood I spent distancing myself from this identity, culture, even subconciously forgetting how to speak my mother tongue.
As I enter my adult life, I find myself searching for the identity I once tried shedding.
Here I present a collection of photos, although taken from all around the world, omitting latin energy.
