I spent a month in Japan late last year. At the time my mind was occupied with worry about my future, but I thought this solo trip might help me to process what I had been feeling since leaving school. After a few weeks I needed a break from Tokyo so I joined some friends on a road trip up the coast. Looking back now I see this trip as a search for direction, though at the time I wasn't quite sure what I was looking for.

Over the month seasons changed and I thought about the direction I was taking with my life. These are the pictures I made at this time.
