Corpo residuo

Corpo residuo (Residual body) explores the tension between two landscapes shaped by different forces: a quarry altered by human extraction and karst caves transformed by geological time.
Through the observation of fractured surfaces, erosion and sedimentation, the work investigates matter as a record of destruction, memory and transformation.
Photographing these landscapes becomes an exercise in self-analysis, where the slow alteration of matter mirrors internal processes of exhaustion, rupture and reconstruction. The landscape is no longer merely observed, but experienced as an extension of the self.
Here, residue is not absence, but persistence: what survives destruction, carrying within it the memory of what has been and the possibility of becoming something else.
