As a trained figurative painter and photographer, I struggled to find a way to combine my two passions into one. "Cyan" was created through explosion negatives onto light sensitive cotton, mounted and primed onto stretched canvas, and painted. The result is the merging of two antiquated art forms- the cyanotypes and oil painting. The imagery is drawn from personal narrative and classic figurative poses.
