This photograph is from an abandoned series, RETREAT. From 2009 – 2013 I started documenting the yearly return to my rural, southern home from NYC. The images are a record of that time alone in a place I left behind. They are meandering moments of meditation, contemplation, banality, magic, boredom, and nostalgia.
