"Después de nosotros" (After Us) arises from the transformation of my identity following the death of my parents and how that loss altered the way I view things, recognize myself, and exist in the world. The camera becomes a portal that allows me to traverse that absence, transform my relationship with it, and look out again from the present moment.

The project does not seek to reconstruct those who have died, but rather to explore who I am in their wake—leaving behind past versions of myself while learning to inhabit the one that exists now. Through photography, I explore the possibility of returning to the experience of being alive, acknowledging the present, and building a new relationship with the world. To photograph is to cross that threshold—not to return to what was lost, but to live again.
