Detroit Techno Motors is a body of mixed-media work exploring the relationship between Detroit’s automotive and electronic music cultures. Cars, sound systems, industrial landscapes, graffiti, and graphic fragments collide across found cardboard, print, spray paint, and hand-drawn elements. The work treats the automobile less as transportation than as a cultural object — shaped by sound, speed, design, manufacturing and the visual language of the city that built it. Drawing from Detroit techno, car culture, graffiti and industrial design, the series reimagines the machine as part vehicle, part sound system and part urban artifact.
