Creativity, to me, begins with raw, flexible concepts of a feeling, conversation, or imagery that inspire me. Working intuitively is as much a discovery to me as a dissection and must be handled with care and time. I ruminate on every fragment of a detail and am fascinated by plasticity in all concepts; how ideas grow and shift the longer I stay fixated on them. The narrative of the process becomes a completed story, inviting further dissection. My body rests inside the swan, its spine as my blanket while I'm held in the arms of its dim insides. An eruption of love sprouts from the swan's chest revealing a pearlescent heart. This is my interpretation of attachment, the beautiful and toxic, illustrated as a creature design.
