ELIZABETH ST, MELBOURNE

I have stalked this pocket of light for a few months. Waiting for the right moment where you get a 25 minute window of light that passes directly through the overhead red perspex panelling wedged between the skyscrapers, illuminating pedestrians in the shadows with streaks of saturated red light.

I waited for the right time of year so the light is at its lowest angle, luckily its winter in Melbourne so all the elements aligned after a few failed days of weather and pedestrian traffic.
