ESCAPE TO THE FUTURE

ならこれでいこう。

I depict a world where opposites coexist: vast cities and untamed nature, life and death, light and shadow. Things that may appear completely contradictory are not truly separate, but exist side by side, always as neighbors.

Influenced by Japanese visual culture, particularly ukiyo-e and manga, I reinterpret these traditions through a contemporary pop language. The vivid colors and bold compositions in my work also reflect my experiences moving between Japan and the United States, where I have encountered the coexistence of contrasting landscapes, cultures, and ways of seeing the world.
