Throughout the duration of my career, my art has been defined by a strong signature aesthetic. However, I can also see why some people feel that my work lacked ‘depth’ in the traditional sense. It's been one of the biggest challenges I’ve received from art critics, yet I always brushed this aside because I simply didn't care. It is my belief that art can be purely aesthetic. It doesn't have to communicate anything because it's not design. That's precisely what makes it art. This series is the culmination of a deadly yet beautiful cocktail of events that have unfolded over the course of the last year that include, love, life, and death. Part of this was by design -- the social media reset, the re-brand, the switch to painting and then back to paper -- and the rest has simply been the beautiful unpredictability of life.
