Food, animals, food, animals, food and animals. They give us sweet, happy vibes. Growing up sucks, it is full of stress, doubt and uncertainty. I remember being a child and thinking that no matter what, there was a 100% chance that I would be an awesome, tall supermodel. That didn't happen, however the joys of having hope don't have to be lost. My work is about continuing the joys of childhood, but making it adult-friendly. As a young-adult, a lot of my time is spent on social media, which feeds us saturated content from others. The general theme of those posts is WOW THIS IS AWESOME, however we are all aware that is not an every day truth, a lot of posts are fake. I want to lean into that fakeness, and create colourful drawings that replicate the happiness we get from scrolling, but IRL.
