These tableau photographs are moments of self-reflection; some of inner conflict, some psychological projection and others through expressive action. Ultimately, “Fall Shadows” is an exploration of identity through performance and process. Individually, the pieces do not flow together as a linear narrative; instead, they inform one another in the narrative style of the photo essay. This non-linear narrative structure closely resembles that of memory.
