FeMale Portraiture was my first college photo project that I have brainstormed while analyzing my college and its lack of representation of people of color within the campus environment. It also aimed to challenge the female and male photo poses stereotypes that reign within leading photo industries. The gesture of the hands, framing of the body, and positioning of the camera were other basics that I keep in mind while photographing these fantastic people/friends.
