Folklore is a black-and-white photographic series created in the northern landscapes of Iceland. Inspired by old northern stories, the project explores places where nature feels quiet, dark, and unknown.
The images move through night scenes: a small house in the forest, distant mountains, and the northern lights in the sky. In the darkness, people gather around a fire, sharing stories about strange lights, shadows, and unseen presences.
Sometimes, a shape appears—unclear, almost like a ghost—then disappears again. The photographs do not show these stories directly, but suggest them through light, shadow, and silence.
Folklore invites the viewer into a world where nature, memory, and the unknown exist together.
