My work is rooted in stories of resistance, of ordinary people transformed into heroes by their refusal to surrender to oppression. I’m drawn to the turbulent narratives of those who have fought and fallen, especially the brave souls of the Women's Life Freedom movement in Iran.
These stories are not just about loss—they are about holding onto fragments of grace amid gravity, of daring to hope when hope seems foolish. In my practice, I reclaim everyday symbols, like flower wreaths—once meant to honor champions—and transform them into tributes for those who fought, loved, and lost. These wreaths, draped in both pride and grief, blur the line between victory and mourning, resilience and release.
