I suffer from Borderline Personality Disorder, among other diagnoses. There is a massive amount of stigma surrounding this mental illness and I wish to clarify the obscurities and wrongful assumptions that I deal with. I struggle with my identity (as is part of the symptoms) and find it hard to find a place in the world. I cannot grasp one whole and fluid personality or set of values, so I endlessly struggle to remain tethered to the earth. I pour my symptomatic stresses onto paper and hope that my obsessions and frailties express themselves accordingly and accurately. I open up a dialogue to those who would ask about my motivations to draw and paint and wish always to help discuss those that deal with the plague that is BPD, or any mental illness for that matter.
