Holly Stapleton is an illustrator and painter based in Toronto. She often seeks to evoke themes of selfhood, relationships, and nostalgia - through a lens bathed in golden hour light. Holly works primarily as an editorial illustrator for clients such as The New York Times and The Washington Post. She also makes self-initiated paintings with oil and gouache paint. In her painted work, she is interested in exploring the personification of textiles and objects. She aims to highlight the meaning we attach to the things that we wear, carry and collect.
