By infusing motifs of folklore and ceremonial traditions from various cultures, my paintings invent a personal myth that hangs on the cusp of lucid encounters. While my work is primarily figurative, I am most interested in the journey of light and its power to transfigure a subject. As I wrestle with each image that evolves and unfolds, these journeys transform the canvases into relics of experiences.
