This series of portraits was taken In Melbourne Australia. Melbourne can achieve extremely hot days in the summer time as the strong Northerly winds cross deserts and hot plains before reaching the city by the bay. There is little one can do to escape temperatures when they hit 47 degrees celcius. Most locals use Port Phillip Bay and hope for a cool change. On this day 6 of an extreme heatwave I chose to rig a camera and flash and capture the intense searing heat.
