As an artist, my most important function is to be a storyteller and to try to unite people. Symbols are the language of our souls, and I believe this is what unites us. I employ a symbolic language in my work; the colors that play a significant role in my paintings also have symbolic meanings. While my work is certainly derived from personal stories, it also explores universal themes as belonging family ties, motherhood, connection.

I mostly use traditional techniques like painting and drawing. I enjoy creating by hand. I believe it reflects and internalizes emotions deeper. I also see this as a political response to the increasingly technological art world and artificial intelligence.
