Making Our Own Myths is an ongoing illustration series exploring what Arab, Gulf mythology might look like if it continued evolving into the present.

Drawing from regional folklore, animals, landscapes, dress, and historical imagery, I combine inherited symbols with surreal and speculative scenes. Rather than only illustrating existing stories, the work asks what new myths we might create now and how the everyday world around us could become folklore for someone in the future.
