I recently traveled to an abandoned amusement park located in Waterbury CT, that was once known as Holy Land USA. Holy Land opened in 1955 and was inspired by passages of the bible; the park consisted of a chapel, stations of the cross and catacombs. The park then closed in 1984 with hopes of renovation, but sadly it's abandoned and is now frequented by onlookers and vandals.
