Homebody is an open-door portrait series documenting trans and queer people within the spaces where they are most themselves: home. As a trans person, I photograph my community beyond stereotypes attached to queer identity. Without spectacle, these images invite audiences into a real queer life. The home has long carried narratives of gender: who cooks, who cleans, who holds power. Here, subjects reimagine those expectations with their bodies. In a world where it is not always safe to exist authentically in public, home becomes a testing ground for identity and self-expression. Queer people are often viewed through a sexual lens, rarely on our own terms. This series reclaims sexuality and shares a fuller, honest picture of intimate life. Each subject's gaze offers a contract of trust, vulnerability, intimacy and shared humanity.
