This project began after finding myself stuck in a deep, dark hole of digital photography, endless Pinterest references and polished, picture-perfect fashion imagery. Somewhere along the way, I lost touch with the playful experimentation that drew me to photography in the first place.
I didn't get into photography to take pictures of mountains or recreate reality. I wanted to live in my own colourful, surreal little world. And honestly, who cares if it doesn't look like photography anymore? I can't draw or paint, so what?
I wanted to rediscover photography as a playground. Using analogue in-camera multiple exposures and chemically altering some of the negatives, I embraced unpredictability instead of perfection.
