Hartenjager (Sanne Wijdenes, 2001) is a Dutch visual artist and photographer. Her name, Hartenjager (Dutch for Hearthunter) stems from her constant chase to feel and understand love & perception, motivated by a strong need to visualize what the speed of her mind can’t pinpoint into words.
She mostly works with film, embracing chance through experimental techniques, like film souping and multiple exposures. This process keeps her work playful and unpredictable, creating images that feel more like fragments of identities than straightforward documentation, turning images into psychological yet surreal dreamscapes.
