Hi I’m Lili Mai, a UK based artist that creates narrative illustration and explores the beauty within girlhood. I created this series of digital illustrations, using soft watercolour textures and dream-like colours. This series revolves around a young girl who wishes to carry her childhood wonder with her into the future.

We are all very easily distracted by the stress of figuring out our futures, who we are and the work we feel we need to put in to grow, that in turn we forget that everything doesn’t have to be so serious. If anything the sweet traits of the inner child within us, such as being whimsical, playful and curious, will help us grow as people, not hold us back.
