Part of the series “Dotknutá,” this work explores the monetisation of sadness and the tension between childhood innocence and the weight of adulthood. Pastel colours evoke a child's longing for safety, sweetness, and tenderness, while wires cutting through the paintings disrupt the dreamlike imagery. Metal and sharp lines corrupt the idealised vision of innocence, becoming symbols of confinement, inner struggle, and the desire to escape. The work reflects on growing up while carrying the vulnerable child within, preserving memories of a sweetness that can no longer be tasted without the bitterness of experience. What remains is the sensation of sugar remembered, metal on the tongue, and a dream surviving behind the wire.
