"I'm More of a Dreamer" is a story about my journey transitioning from Mexico to the U.S. It depicts my struggle with self-hate and shame as I tried to fit in with the American culture, feeling inferior because of micro-aggressions and the portrayal of Latinos in the media. However, I learned to love myself and my culture through my journey. This collection is a testament to my newfound confidence and hope that it inspires others to heal and be proud of their identities, becoming proud to call themselves immigrants, Latinos, and even dreamers.
