A small clipping of larger works, these paintings in the collection ‘Island Stories’ express the feeling of time, decay and nostalgia. Using mixed media; oil paint, acrylic and cement render, I focus on texture and colour to create tropical landscapes which look aged and worn over time. I scratch back the cement render and layer the paint and reveal the stories hidden beneath.
