My work honors Asian aesthetics and minimalism. I practice Asian Brush painting , Japanese Saori weaving and origami. The blue Saori weaving with its wave- like patterns resembles Hokusai's print ‘The Wave’. In Asian culture, the cranes are a symbol of peace and longevity. Repurposed wood resembles the cracking of dawn that allows the light, waves and birds to rise.
