My current work focuses on bringing together cultural subject matter, new and old, with digital tools and traditional art aesthetics. Influenced by Japanese Ukiyo-e, Irezumi tattooing, and pan-Asian culture writ large. The work is digital but is made to look as if it were created by traditional means. A conceit that underscores the longstanding tension between traditional and digital methods in the art world, now exacerbated by the rise of AI slop art.
