Last October, I took part in an artist residency at Jardins Racine in rural Estrie — a big change from my usual urban context. Without deadlines or structure, time felt different, slower. I painted a golden Casio watch on a repurposed dock — a symbol of fast-paced city life placed in nature, meant to fade with the weather. I also created a series of oil and charcoal works, all homemade style.
