Tony Chao is a comic artist from Taipei, Taiwan and currently based in New York City. For the series “Journey”, he illustrates a series of sequential drawings of an anonymous figure’s journey through the cosmos. The series is a manifestation of an artist’s path, both artistically and also professionally. Using motifs of a broken path over a starry night sky and rocky plains, Tony illustrates the feeling of a lone artists traversing through the perilous path of surviving as an artist in the modern world as well as evolving artistically to become the most skilled craftsman one could become.
