Leviathan Burning

Leviathan Burning is a photographic series that emerged from my need to experience the landscape as something unstable, charged, and deeply alive. What drew me was not simply the image of ice, but the feeling of pressure inside it — as if the surface were holding something ancient, violent, and unresolved. By pushing color, inversion, and contrast beyond realism, the glacier began to shift into a more psychological space, where ice appears molten and the ground seems to burn beneath it. In this work, fire and ice no longer exist as opposites, but as part of the same wounded and mythic body.
