Fashion design is the inspiration for my current paintings, I am interested in the contrast between the human figure and the textures and patterns of textiles. I enjoy the fantasy aspect of fashion so I like to elaborate on this within my work by placing the figure within a highly decorative background which is ambiguous, it could be seen as reality or a theatrical backdrop.
