Love Makes Me Porous

I’m interested in the strange feelings and behaviours that love and everyday life bring out in people. In some of these drawings, familiar expressions become concrete situations: newlyweds prepare for battle, romance requires a medical kit, and someone with somewhere to be sets off in an office chair. Other drawings grow more intuitively, with faces, insects and stray thoughts sharing a page. Working with pen and markers, I move between planned scenes and loose sketches, often finding humour and unease in the same image.
