Our bodies, work, and relationships place us in different circumstances, and not everything can be changed by will alone. For me, MAKE EARTH. means looking at where we are from a slightly different angle and finding a next step of our own.

Working between invented figures and abstraction, I think of a painting as a filter through which my ideas meet the life a viewer has lived. The same work can look different to different people, or to the same person on another day. I leave room for those readings, without imposing a single meaning or answer. My hope is to make work that offers quiet companionship and continues to change alongside the viewer's life.
